The Bureau of Safety and Security is a Chicago Public Schools’ central office unit resposible for developing and implementing programs and strategies to improve the safety of CPS students and personnel and the security of CPS property.

Safety and Security has many different programs to assist school improving their safety and security, including the annual training to all CPS security employees. Safety and Security manages the districts relationships with other law enforcement agencies and CPS; compliance with Emergency management planning and preparedness. Safety and Security also coordinates and delivers security to several CPS administrative sites.
