Power of Parents

Power of Parents

Board President Michael W. Scott initiated the Power of Parents Conference during the 2002-2003 school year for parents and guardians of Chicago Public School (CPS) students. The Power of Parents Conference provides CPS parents/guardians with an annual event where they can attend workshops on how to help their child educationally, hear from motivational speakers about the importance of parental involvement, obtain information on various family resources throughout the city and speak with other parents and educational providers of the Chicago school system.
