The 2007 Golden Apple Award-winning teachers in the CPS are:
- Danna Dotson, a math teacher at Lindblom Math & Science Academy
- Sam Dyson, who teaches physics and Zulu at Walter Payton College Preparatory High School
- Melinda Wilson, a dance teacher at Curie Metropolitan High School.
Two CPS teachers have also been recognized by the Golden Apple Foundation through its new second-tier award, Teacher of Distinction: John Belcaster, history teacher at Northside College Preparatory High School, and Zakieh Mohammed, English teacher at Roberto Clemente High School.
